A rapidly growing segment of IBC’s business is the production of precision cast beryllium-aluminum components used by the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry to produce parts of IPhones and other consumer electronics.
Because of the extraordinary stiffness and light-weighting that beryllium-aluminum delivers, IBC is able to make a BeAl alloy component for use by companies in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing sector. IBC’s specialized part enables the ultra-fine deposition of metallic structures on microchips in a manner that few other materials can do.
As demand for such chips and sensors increases, so too does demand for our specialty parts. That has been the case so far in calendar 2017, with orders to IBC on these parts significantly higher than in calendar 2016.
